Your on your bike, in Europe, touring, decent roads, good weather (possibly) good beer, food, more space to an extent,

Must get me a chuff chart and start counting down to July, I'm heading the other direction from Belfast to Lake Garda,

If you like France or haven't been up the middle before then enjoy.

I like the Alps and would (assuming you're doing the route anti-clockwise) head off into the French Alps, Switzerland, Jura, Black Forest, Ardennes and back to Calais.

But that's just me

Here comes the summer

We leave on 15th June, and get home on 23rd June.

Plan on doing the N260 across the southern Pyrenees, and then use some of the routes publicised by Ride magazine for getting through France.

We are having two days in Grenoble................... just because we can.

We have all done the Pyrenees and the Alps before, and it seems the Pyrenees are better due to quieter roads.

Haven't travelled through central France before, so this is the only new bit for us.

I'd choose the Pyrenees over the Alps every time.

Theres a big problem with your route !!!. Very difficult riding the bike across the blue bits

Taking a mate who has just retired on a very similar jaunt, we leave on the 27th of may from poole to Gijon with LD Lines bring your own paddle tours. We will be heading back pretty much the way cooperman said.
