I'm with NeedLongerLegs...

I'm told my 2014 GS will be with Cannons on 15th September, unless it gets loaded onto the same lorry (fingers crossed then).

Means it'll miss the Essex Air Ambulance Run so will remain tethered to the Harley Davidson (Belchamp St Paul Chapter ~ Membership 1) and take the VRSCA V-Rod.

Looking forward to the GS I must say.

I was going to wait for this but I'm an impatient b*stard and wanted one now :)

Got a crazy px for my r1 too:)

Fault free by September, the BMW engineers have been working 24/7 to install buyer confidence for the winter season.:D

Sorry, don't wish to piss on your bonfire but,had BMW engineers sorted the gearbox problem that some have been experiencing,me included,I do think that we would have known by now.

If they have sorted it and have chosen to lie to all those folks that have been awaiting a fix,I was told Friday they're still working on it,there are going to be a lot of unhappy bunnies out there.

All the more reason for a review mid September when people pick up the 2014 - if there is a mystery solution put through as a running change bmw would keep it quiet since they wouldn't want the cost of a service update or recall, imagine the cost to open up a gearbox and replace parts for all 2013my built !

Others however don't seem to care about the gearbox and consider it a feature :comfort

Wow, I wish I had your money to be able to change bikes after six months :)

Nothing to do with money mate, Just a dam fine dealer, who's worked hard to keep a customer.

Big thanks to Keith n Adam at Cannons Essex.

Will write n keep you all up to date, soon as, if you rode my current LC fifty miles you'd probably think its fine, but ride hundred n fifty miles and then the clutch / gearbox show there worst to you it has taken about a thousand miles to start playing up and by three thousand miles its intolerable. I only ride for pleasure and average thousand miles a month mainly in hundred n fifty mile chunks (a morning out in search of the ultimate bacon sarny), no commuting no short journeys, I believe this is what bring the worst out in the clutch. So its really hard for a dealer to see fault unless I do a extended ride there and get mechanic to jump n bike soon as I get there.

Totally agree,my gearbox is tolerable up until it gets really warm,by the end of a 200ml day it could only be described as awful, especially if your giving it some.

I'm heading up to Scotland today so will be putting on some serious miles. Hopefully the problems you suffered won't happen to me as I put the mileage on. I'm at around 750 now

Hopefully your next bike will be fine. Did you lose much on the p/x?

Must have been really frustrating, good luck with the next one and whoever buys the one you're chopping in.
