2014 GS vs GSA.

I love the "flighty" nature of my 2014 GS LC - it's like a "sports bike on stilts", which is exactly what a lot of riders are looking for :thumb
Maybe because I am stepping from a big old school GS I feel at home on the GSA, while people stepping up prefer the new GS? Especially sports bike riders?

just a thought.

How hard is it to put key in ignition and turn it?

How hard is it to deal with keyless ignition when steering lock mechanism fails to disengage?

No brainer really.

They probably said the same thing about starter motors on cars. how hard can it be to put a starting handle in and flip it round?

I often have my gloves on when I realise my key is still in my pocket.

A mate of mine took delivery of his new GSA today, comparing a couple of practical things i likes over my WCGS.
1,The little hatch to top up the water header tank on the GSA:D:D so much easier than the GS:barf
2,They have updated the screen brackets so the pivot pins cant come out when the circlips snap.:D
Not quiet enuff to make me rush out and change to a GSA yet.

Very keen to see the 1000 R / GS and the 1200 RS/GT or what ever they will be called.

I kind of agree on this regarding the BM because its not exactly keyless, this is the transponder you have to carry around with you, and I'd rather no this is in the ignition than left/lost behind somewhere .

Lets be honest with ourselves, it will go faulty at some stage .

I like the handy arrow which tells you which end to stick in the lock...

I like the idea, leave the key in my pocket and off I go, no worries about forgetting the key when filling up. Although what distance does it activate from? Could someone steal your bike when your in the station paying for the fuel?

Gs v GSA

The gs seems to be perceived by some to be a lesser entry to newcomers bike,
Having had the 1150 and 1200 GSA for many years I saw it as less,
I do regret selling the 1150 GSA , I didn't find the 1200 better,
different and a more modern take on the original and plasticky ,still good though,
Not one for stepping back as mentioned , I am on a lc gs as it's moved on again,
It's the same basic bike, smaller tank, still a big bike, and with this heavy crank
May be a bit less urgent,,
like many I prefer the quiet rural roads and a refined power delivery and slightly lighter bike is my bag, and the unique suspension is great,
I was still stopping at around 200 miles ish as that was the average tank range for others,
In a nutshell I was missing the point with the gs, Roamer
