Out now, fitted with a steering damper, enduro RDC mode and modified clutch....no colour changes AFAIK.

Just bought an LC and its fitted with the mods. Damper / switchgear etc.. so they are coming through from BMW now !

Have you worked out how to remove the damper yet?
Makes me question why a damper has been fitted to the latter motors, did early ones have steering issues??

This is pure conjecture ...but this has been talked about more then the coffee pot level at a dealers showrooms.
When BMW had there initial showing, the journalist test rides ( i think in South Africa) there was a journalist that lost his life in a crash, many reports on the cause of the git off ,at least in the US. This tragic event was kept on the low down by BMW.
The gossip I heard was bike going at speed and hitting some ruts and went down with a tank slapper.
As for ridding the GS on the pavement i cant imagine a more stable bike. The dirt i just don't know, many BMW just doing a prudent thing.
Iam not talking from any first hand knowledge and want to respect all parties on this.

Weren't your steering issues down to a dodgy frame?
A steering damper wouldn't sort that out.

Yes your correct, some Chinese fella could not weld my frame straight .
