So I'm looking at a 2015 Multistrada 1200S (the facelift with the DVT engine)

Are there any horror stories to do with the DVT engine that I'm not aware of .........or is it a good solid bet???

I asked the same thing of a friend who works at Alton Ducati. He says the 1200 is fine, the 1260 better and the V4 bullet proof. For instance, there is a V4S Travel Radar at Motorbiking with 38k miles, that came from Alton with full history and the bike is perfect, just well enjoyed by its one and only owner!

Managed 20k on a DVT on the same plate from new ,great bike.
some over enthusiastic jetwashing had an affect one ignition module, other than that it was great.
The seating position is a bit marmite , the angle of the seat rotates your pelvis forward and pushes you towards the tank crushing your nuts a bit , there’s an easy fix documented on the Ducati forum.
The touratech seat didn’t fix it for me
my 1260 is the same and that’s over 30k miles on it now.
some of them burn a bit of oil , my 1200 didn’t , but the 1260 has since new.
The only real world difference I’ve noticed between the two is the shifter and blipper on the 1260.
I didn’t really notice much else .1260 engine paint isn’t as good as the 1200 either .

Do you have a link to the fix? I can’t find it but have the same issue with the shape being a bit odd.

Lads....thanks for the replies and advice.

That bike didn't pan out and I have since bought a BMW R1200RS.

Sent with a Zen10

@fatbob99 - do you have a link for this? I can’t find it, but do have that issue?

Cheers
