Needing new pads in the rear for my 2015 gsa ,which is best please original or after market?

Stuck a set of EBC HH Pads on mine before a trip to the Alps , better than original IMHO

Motorworks sell Brembo (among others) which are a coupla quids more expensive than EBC. I put Brembo in mine. OEM brake pads from a dealer will cost prolly 2.5 times EBC or Brembo from elsewhere. OEM rear pads are €98 from a German dealer. Ouch.

EBC HH in rear of mine, done 6000 miles since and checked them today, less tham 1/2 worn.
Been carrying Brembo replacement front under the seat for the past year, waiting for them to wear out , still a few thousand left in them at 20k

I ve just bought some oem pads from a BMW dealer - cost £59. My reasoning for using oem is that the original pads that are still on the bike have done 25000 miles and are likely to last another 10000 miles. The disk is still in tolerance so the parts are well suited to each other. I bought the new ones to carry with me on a lengthy tour but don't expect to need them. By the way, I clean the calipers thoroughly each time the tyres are changed: I think this may help to extend the life of the components. Others on this site claim that they wear pads out in 4000 miles.:eek:
