2015 R1200GSA Relocating my spot lights.

Hi,
Did anyone relocate their spot light from the crash bar and where did you mount it? I have added Clearwater Erica to my bike and want to mount my original lights back on the bike. Photos would be great and appreciated!

Hi, side cases are BMW and the top case is GIVI Trekker 58 littler!

I bet it would be a doddle to modify a pair of these to fit onto the mounting point at the top of those tank protection bars.

I'm pretty sure that there were some recent pictures of a GSA which had Clearwaters fitted where. the BMW spots go and the originals had been relocated onto the upper bars. Pretty sure Jim Von Baden had put pictures up but can't seem to find them right now!

An alternative, the alloy body of the BMW lights can be drilled and tapped M6 underneath and makes a sturdy mount.

thanks jim, yes I think that is the best way to go....i was hoping to find a light bar for under the front beak!

An alternative, the alloy body of the BMW lights can be drilled and tapped M6 underneath and makes a sturdy mount.

I have a prediction to make......if you drop that bike, or take it off road, you're going to suddenly find both of those lights dangling by their wires.

Unless they've significantly changed the design of the OEM lamp brackets (and it doesn't look like it from that photo) the two PLASTIC lugs that form the bracket are made of a particularly brittle cheese...hanging a second lamp below the OEM one is a neat solution, but honestly, unless you replace/strengthen those lugs, I can pretty much guarantee that they will snap.

Mounted the stock lights to the top of the crash bar and have to give it some time to see how it works... I will take some daylight photo tomorrow to see how I mounted them!

Since these have been on the bikes for years, and their isn't a huge cry of cheap parts, especially here, I do not think this is an issue. They hold up pretty well.
