A question to the more knowledgeable members:

While stoped, when I pull the front brake lever it goes in so far. If I pump up it 2, 3 or 4 times
( fast pull and relase and repeate ) the lever goes in less every time I repeat, that is, on the second, imediate, pull the lever goes in less than at the first pull, at the 3rd pull it goes in even less. By the 3rd pull its very high as if there is no clearance.

I am on my 7th GS, first Adventure, and never seen the brakes behave like this. Although this is the first with ABS Pro I don't believe this has anything to do with it.

Today I went to the dealership and the mechanic adjusted the lever rod that presses the piston (a 2 mm allen screw located at the lever that adjusts the lever's clearance). Some 3 kilometers after I left the dealership the brakes locked the bike...I readjusted this clearance ( happy I had a 2mm Allen wrench on my toolkit !) and was able to ride again.

Tomorrow I will be returning to the dealer to hear what they have to say about this but would really like to hear your opinions as to the possible causes of this varying clearance on the front brake lever.

I wonder if the brake piston is leaking back or perhaps it justs needs bleading.

Please enlighten me !

Andre
