Anyone know the spare capacity of the alternator?

I gather from the specs its a 510w unit

I'm thinking of adding some (lots of heated gear)

The total wattage is 136 , amperage is a bit vague,

The top is [email protected] nothing is listed for gloves, leggings or socks

It will be wired direct to the battery btw

I think the power output will be more than enough.

When the bikes where using regular lightbulbs, the lights and AUX lights would draw lots of power from the generator. Now, using LEDs, the consumption is reduced, so heated gear should not cause any problems.

Keep in mind that the heated clothes are also regulated, so a 48W jacket may perhaps draw half as much. Gloves and footwear may typically draw 20W each, but again, in normal use they might use half the power i daily use.

This means that the heated gear may be drawing a total of 50 to 80W for each person, which corsponds to less than 2 H7 lightbulbs...
