I need some help and advice, please.

I've just picked up a new 2016 Triple Black and was in the process of swapping my farkles over from my 2013 LC and noticed that the screen holes for the new bike are different and as such the mounting bracket will not fit onto my older larger touring screen I had. The new screen has larger holes and has a rubber grommitt fitted to reduce the hole size. When I swap the mounting brackets to the larger screen it just rattles around as the holes are too large (but not as large as on the new screen).

Has anybody had a similar issue and how have you sorted it? I think my options are:
I. Drill larger holes in the larger screen and transfer the grommitt over (not sure about this, the screen could crack)
II. By different size grommitts to fit my old screen,in which case where the hell would you buy them from?!

Any advice welcome.

There was an issue with screens cracking on the earlier bikes, mine was replaced. Possibly the screen vendor has updated grommets for the later bikes? If there was such a change?

Grommets are used by electricians so try your local electrical wholesaler such as CEF or Edmundsens.

Surely using a sharp HSS twist drill at high speed and low feed should not crack polycarbonate, that's what I would do, much better than a dremel.

I had a similar problem with the BMW touring screen when I swapped my 2011 for a 2015 and ended up buying a new bracket assembly.

Hope you get it sorted.

There may be a possibility of cutting some tubing down to make sleeves to take up the clearance without grommets,
If you are not confident making spacers or drilling the screen i am happy to do it for you, i am only in laceby,
