2016 triple black?

Criticism is ok , so long as it's based on evidence / facts.

You guys!!! So when you're doing some unstoppable touring and the final drive goes phut you can console yourself that your trip may have been ruined but at least I've got a 2.9% finance deal and the BMW warranty? Muppet! BMW needs a good warranty because their bikes are shit. They can't afford to have shit bikes and a shit warranty. I've been riding bike since '76 mainly Jap crap and a Harley. I put big miles on my bikes covering a minimum of 10k year. Blackbird 6 years 70k. HD 5 years 60k. Currently on my second ZZR1400 2012 30k. 40K on the previous model. CX500 23K in a year. Blah! Blah! Never had a bike failure in over 750K plus miles of bike ownership. I considered going the GS route but the wife hates the things and when I

You speak as if the only bikes that ever break are BMW ! What about the great Triupmh recall following catastrophic failures or the KTM starter/Battery problem, The Suzuki recall over brake fluid and worse. the KTM water/oil pump problem or the Honda brake failure problem to think of just a few !

I am on my 3rd BMW now and the assist card has never been out of my wallet and i have never yet had recourse to the warranty !

You have not got a GS as your wife wont let you have one ! That makes me laugh

I considered going the GS route but when I "joined" the forum and read about the crap quality (your words) and reliability I decided not to spend £15k on a shit bike. We test rode a few adventure bikes but they're dull dull dull. Who would spend £15k on a WC GS knowing that it has the same mechanical & electrical issues as the previous model?

Why dont you just fuck off over to whichever forum suits the awesome reliable bike that you have and leave us toworry about our bikes and what we choose to spend our money on :tosser

Graham you strangely even refer to your jap bikes as "crap". You strike me as a pretty unhappy character . Have a nice life !

A few isolated incidents, which will always be highlighted on forums because people are more likely to post about problems than how utterly reliable their bikes are, does not make the entire range of BMW bikes crap.

I hope you have some toilet roll handy to wipe your mouth with after you've finished speaking. If you want to discuss Muppets Graham I think you bear a closer resemblance.

Given your self proclaimed magnificence and the breadth and depth of your experiences with motorcycles and travelling I'm sure you could have chosen to make positive contributions to this forum. Plenty of other folk on here don't own BMWs or GS' and they manage to share their knowledge and experience in order to help others, and they receive plenty of good advice back in return.

Unfortunately you have chosen to simply slag people off for buying a motorbike you don't like, which says a lot about your demaeanour and outlook on life.

or put more simply................

Yes, the GS WC is really a WC / toilet. That's why I got myself an RT WC which is a much better toilet instead :beerjug:

On my 3rd BMW boxer in the last 10 years and I was never let down, whereas my lovely previous bike did let me down and it was an indisputable super reliable her majesty Honda VFR and her blessed voltage regulator.

Any bike can break down these days and with the latest level of gadgetry it's unlikely that it can be fixed on the roadside so you can get a reliable bicycle maybe but you need to know a little bit about mechanics as well if the chain falls off.
