2016 triple black?

I saw it last week with a sold sign on it, however it was kitted up with lots of black add ons... Black Akra, screen, crash bars to name but a few, looked the dog dangles!!!!!

Had they painted the cylinder and radiator covers black?

Cymarc does a bracket to lower any seat by about another 10mm, so I have ordered one to try.

My salesman neglected to mention the Triple Black was a 20mm higher bike

The Normal GS on the standard seat (lower setting) is 820mm this is about my limit for seat height on this bike

So the Triple black with exclusive seat will be 840mm even on the lowest setting, this is the same as normal seat on higher setting.

So you can get the Triple Black exclusive seat in 3 sizes, is that correct ? Would the lower one be less comfortable do you think ?

Is it plastic they take away to make it lower or padding ?

BMW do seem to have put these on sale with fairly skimpy information. Different dealers doing their own deals (GPS/Topboxes). The uk Motorrad website is very sketchy and doesn't really describe the bike properly.

You might find the Cymarc parts are +VAT still great kit

It comes with the dynamic break light, as for the height my understanding is that it's the same as any other GS in terms of heights. It's the new comfy seat that's 20mm taller, you can get the new seat in low, normal or high but they are all 20mm higher than the equivalent standard seats. I can't find it now but someone posted the heights of all three new seats.

I tried to get them to put a low seat on mine but as it was a bike that was already on its way they couldn't swap it (still going to have another go at them today about it).

Red out , I'm stating the obvious here , but that seat is the bmw exclusive one , there is always quite a fertile market on eBay for improved seats . If you need a lower one take some nice photos of the one supplied with your triple black and it will sell very fast.

I have contacted my dealer and he is going to fire off an email to BMW presumably to get a definitive answer as regards the seat and lowering the bike. if the seat is higher I am screwed! I thought the bike was gonna be 820mm with the low seat option.

Just spoke with Rainbow they are going to get the seat off my bike check the part number and report back tomorrow the actual seat heights, they seem to think its not the exclusive seat, it is a special seat for the TB with 5mm thinker padding, so as soon as I get confirmation from them tomorrow i will report back what they think it is.

I asked my sales guy about the Seat height on a Triple black, they had their first delivery this morning so he called me

He said he has sat on a Triple black and a regular GS TE and the seats are exactly the same height, I'm going to sit on both lunch time to make sure the Triple Black wont be too high on regular chassis with seat at lower setting, I was fine on the Red Demo one I sat one which had this set up but it was on the edge of my comfort zone so couldn't go any higher

I just went and sat on one and it was fine, it could be my imagination but the seat felt softer than the regular bike so I think it might even have been a fraction lower. I took some snaps, sorry not the best lighting with window behind the bike
