Hi,

I got the bike back from its first service and stuck the red dongle on to unlock the 'Pro' functions, purely to see what, if any, difference they made.

Scrolling through the mode options, I now have Rain, Road, Dynamic Pro and Enduro Pro only. The standard Dynamic and Enduro modes do not show anymore. Can anyone advise if this is correct as there is a video on YT indicating that it isn't?

Yep, that's correct. They've done away with Enduro and Dynamic, naming them 'Pro' now. And who doesn't love a Pro?:D

When Dynamic Pro is set to its defaults (which it will be until you go into setup to change it) there is no difference. What Pro mode does is let you select a different engine mode to the normal DYNA so you can have Dynamic Pro set to use engine mode RAIN or ROAD instead. Similarly, you can change the normal DTC (dynamic traction control) mode used in Dynamic Pro, which is DYNA, and use RAIN or ROAD instead. As I understand it, any changes you make will be stored and will still be set next time you use Dynamic Pro mode.

You can do a similar setup for Enduro Pro, with the addition that in that mode you can also change the default ABS settings.

Aha, so JohnnyBoxer can get a new bike after all and fix it so the ABS is switched off all the time. ;-)

Haha - possibly, except I think I read somewhere that it detects off-road conditions and automatically switches into Enduro/Enduro Pro mode. Might be another bike I read this about, but if it is the GS, then possibly if it detects you are on tarmac it will switch out of Enduro, where you could have the ABS set to off, into Road or Dyna where you can't.

Actually the only options it appears that you can set ABS to when in the setup mode for Enduro Pro are two options confusingly called Enduro or Enduro Pro. Who knows what they actually do, but whatever it is it probably doesn't turn off ABS completely - maybe Enduro Pro ABS would turn it off on the rear wheel only.

It appears that you can switch off ABS while on the move by holding down the ABS button, but I'm not sure if that is remembered for next time you ride.

ABS PRO upgrading for the pre 2017 LC GS models possibile?

Is it possibile to upgrade the pre 2017 model of LC GS (20013 -2016) with the ABS PRO option (cornering ABS)?

 so just the same as choosing ROAD or RAIN instead of Dynamic Pro!
