Hey all,

Been riding my new bike and have had a splendid time.

Had a single issue during the 1st 600 miles where I was approaching a junction, pulled in clutch to change down, eased throttle and engine cut out. I pressed the start switch and it started straight away.

I reported said issue during the 1st service (at Lind in Norwich) and the experts told me there were no notifications on the bike but that they had reset something to do with the throttle ( apparently it learns something !) and to crack on and see how I get on.

Fast forward to this weekend - Riding from Suffolk to Southampton and back and the issue occurred twice. Nothing predictable about it. Can't make it happen at will. Engine in dynamic mode each time it happened.

Anyone got anything useful to say on this ?

Cheers
K

Was hoping that problem had been cured, as above with Crotchrocket, my 2013 GS did it 5-6 times, was reported to dealers & BMW cust services (who told me the I should report issues via the dealer network)
6500 miles in on my 2016 GS, havent yet suffered one.

I had this in France on my XR. Had just overtaken a lorry and had really given it the beans to get past quickly because it was tight then just after I pulled back in front of the lorry it lost all power. Pulled in the clutch and engine stopped but started as soon as I pressed the starter button. Glad it didn't cut out during the overtake. Hasn't done it since.

More problems ,when will it end !

If that happened my bike the dealer would be getting it back for good
