I test rode a new exclusive yesterday, and was surprised at a couple of differences that I noticed:

The wind noise was noticeably improved. I wondered if it might be down to the new shape beak, and the salesman thought the same.
It's been mentioned before, but the improved gearbox is really sweet now.
I was so impressed that I paid my deposit :)

I also tried a rallye. The difference between the two was marked, the rallye feeling sharper, and therefore less suited to my rather lazy riding style. Another customer in the dealership agreed with me but the salesman was surprised at our comments.

I ordered my new one with the comfort seat. Does anyone have any comments, good or bad, on these?

I'd never been able to get on with the boxer engine previously having tried one numerous times over the years. Too agricultural for me but thought I'd try the new model before I committed to getting another XR.

I took a Rallye out on demo last week and was amazed by how much smoother it was.
So much so that I ordered an Exclusive the day after and picked it up last friday!

Test rode one on Wednesday, ordered an Exclusive. Dealer did say new GSA launched 2018. The gearbox is sweet and works, did not detect 1st gear klunk...very disturbing. Quickshifter ok from 3rd up but less so into 2nd but bike at 47 miles. Throttle seemed sharper but I did arrive on Africa Twin. Handling seemed more agile but no luggage on. Clocks hopeless, speed detection needs a good look especially after ride on KTM with iPad clocks, the future of bike dash's.

Engine did vibe but I put that down to miles needed.

Ordered the Adventure screen as windblast on a cold day but I am a lanky and need cosseting. Ordered comfort seat, hope it's ok for distance.
