2017 KTM Adventure Range.

Seems great right up until the point I realise my phone has a 5.75" screen so including bezels its probably the same size as my phone. Same as the ducati, way too small unless they have very little information in it. When I was thinking about buying the multi I thought the screen looked brilliant in the pictures. Then I saw it for real..........

Time will tell but wasn't expecting such tech anyway . Looks pretty clear what I've seen .

fek me sideways that is the most hideous looking bike, never was keen on the styling of the new bikes anyway but that headlight is just fucking ugly, ok you dont look at it whilst riding but even so they really are shite to look at!!!!

I think it looks fantastic. Lets face it the badly placed "clocks" on the BMW R1200GS are a disaster and most of us end up using the gps "screen" to show speed etc.
Don't knock the KTM (on this design issue) when the BMW clocks are flawed?

Though all the other items in post 274, are really just playing catch -up with BMW.

After wasting hours this year trying to buy a KTM GT ( having my deposit returned months later) , It would require some good reasons to get me over the dealers threshold again.

Actually no, your forgetting the 1290 SA has been out for 2 years with all that tech. It was bmw playing catchup this year not the other way round.
 
Well im not sure there is enough of a change for me to swap my current SA, the headlights are weird, but im sure they will grow on me, the TFT screen looks good and an update that is needed, hopefully it can do satnav ect or at least integrate with each other.
 
. Cruise control looks to be included as standard, while a list of optional extras look set to appeal:

Hill Hold Control
Motor Slip Regulation
Bidirectional Quickshifter (change gears without pulling the clutch in)

Looks as tho ktm have listened to there customers, cruise is now on the left switch gear similar to the gs and Quickshifter up and down.

MSR is useful especially on the GT it increases engine speed and prevents wheel slip when your being over enthusiastic, works very well.

If the KTM TFT screen could display a map I'm sure they would have shown that capability. I'm guessing it can't.

No keyless or quicksilver which I am quite happy about. If you want clutch less changes stop fucking about and buy a dct Honda. The wc GS range needs it right enough since it has such an awful clutch and gearbox :-p
 
Checked out a youtube video by moto.it. It is in italian but at the end with google translate you can check the difference in price between the 1290 SA T, S and R version
