Model year 2018 will see a number of model facelift measures in the BMW Motorrad programme. The models can be ordered from all BMW Motorrad partners in the new configuration from August 2017.

BMW Motorrad Spezial. Customising your bike ex works.

BMW Motorrad is now expanding its individualisation range with BMW Motorrad Spezial and is offering distinctive-design, performance and value enhancing as well as exclusive customisation options ex works. The new offer includes special paint finishes for selected models through high-quality milled parts packages to forged wheels.

BMW Motorrad Connectivity – fast and safe information with the least possible distraction from the traffic situation.

Providing fast and clear information for the rider with the least possible distraction from what is happening on the road – this is achieved with the unique operating concept of the new Connectivity option by BMW Motorrad featuring a high-quality 6.5-inch full-colour TFT display.

That's just added another £5,000 worth of 'special' options to the list price. lol.

Wonder if they'll give people the option of customising the frame painting / protection?

It's fitted with knobbly tyres... Snigger.:)

As I'm now without a bike I was planning on going back to a standard GS LC later this year or early 2018. I'm not keen on the Rallye colours and was surprised to see the only colour options on the GS are black or white, neither of which I fancy. I can't find anything online to suggest there are new colours coming for the GS in 2018, anyone know different? :nenau

Perhaps I might finally be going over to the dark side with orange.

Not sure why this is news? It was all announced a while ago

@Daxaar would you not buy a bike just because it had dodgy colours you do not like, even though it might be best bike ever for you?

For GS not really many changes just the Dash.

MCN was banging on about all the specs with the new F750GS, mentioning dynamic ESA, TFT screen and exclusive and triple black models. Let's hope whatever they're planning is for next year and not 2019!

No because I've already owned a GS LC and a GSA LC so I already know if it will be the "best bike ever", but only if it's in the right colour.

Do it. My 1290 has certainly put the cat among the pigeons.

Trouble is I *love* the look of the 1290 R but it makes no sense for the type of riding I do. The white plastics and orange frame and crash bars look a treat. I'll almost certainly be having another test ride on the 1290 S though.

If you're mainly riding on the road, the S is the one to go for.:thumb

I've done nearly 5000 miles on mine since April.:beerjug:
