2018 KTM 790 Adventure

790 owners:

Anyone found a company doing a rack to cover the pillion seat? So that I can fit a single Ergo seat.

Anyone found a toolbox that compatible with the KTM/ Touratech rack?

Anyone managed to identify the part number for the GPS mount that fits behind the screen and into the ‘fit GPS here’ mount?

Anyone managed to order/ fit the radiator guard yet ?

I've found the UK KTM forum to be next to useless.

Maybe it's better for their proper off road bike, but very little "adventure" content.

any body with any fuel pump clogging issues, with some residue from inside the tank... some countries seem to have issues

I think that was the subject of a bulletin for dealers to check during first service.

I have my test ride on the 790 Adventure booked for next week.
Does anyone know the prices for some of the bits & pieces? e.g. Garmin mount, quick shift, cruise control, heated grips, centre stand.
Cheers
Ray

Depends what deal you can do with the dealer to supply and fit all of that. I got about 700 quids worth of extras for £300

Prices all on their website. You should be able to get £500 off and 15% off accessories.

Thanks Joe, I found some of them by creating a "wish list". The cruise control switch is £78, the grips are £174, the quick shift is £350 not sure if these prices include fitting or activation.

Order the switch now, they are on back order. You can easily sell it if you decide the bikes not for you.

If you are buying a new bike with accessories fitting and activation should be part of the deal. Make sure they apply the big fixes before you ride off.

I'll be honest - the KTM heated grips aren't the warmest I've encountered. Could be I notice it more as I suffer from Raynaud's and I really need my heated gloves in anything below 10*C. Dash was showing 13*C yesterday and I had the grips on full (no heated gloves as was a short trip) and the ends of my fingers were white within half an hour.
Cruise control switch isn't available until September which is a major PITA as I've a big trip next week and could have done with it by then as was promised when I bought the bike - but the dealer was only going by the info KTM gave him at the time.
QS is good but I've heard some bikes had it activated anyway so maybe delete that option and if it doesn;t come activated it's an easy software update to get it to work.
