2020 BMW R1250GS Exclusive - pannier rack question

Hi all,

As title suggests, I have a 2020 R1250GS Exclusive line, and since it's my first BMW, I know very little about these bikes.

I'm looking to fit side panniers, aluminum ones, and I have some very opposite answers regarding the racks.
At Givi dealership I was advised to go with PLR5108 racks + Givi Trekker Alaska 36l side cases since this would be most affordable option.
Now, I'm finding the information that PLR5108 has issues with Alaska cases, first that I can't open them while mounted on the bike, since grab rails are in the way for the lid. Second thing is that Alaska's hook system has an issue with this rack, due to rack geometry, and hook does not grab either not so good, or at all...

Any of you guys had issues with this, and what was the fix...?
Is there some other rack that fits this 1250GS, and does not have this kind of issues and works with Alaska cases...

Take a look in the sale section. There are some there that you can fit straight on.

Thanks siddo, but this might not work for me...
Even if I do find something in sale section, I am from Croatia... Chances that someone would ship side cases and racks are close to none... Even if someone is willing to do so, it would cost an arm and a leg. And then bureaucracy kicks you in the a** in form of customs and VAT, which again raises expenses... Easier to buy new stuff here...

I was just looking for experiences and solutions for specific combination of racks and side cases...
