Hi Folks,
Finally bit the bullet and bought a R1250GS Rallye TE, what a bike, just class.
One thing that is bugging me though, is when I turn the ignition on, priming the injectors on both sides kicks in, but there is a funny fizzing noise, which doesn't seem normal.
It's not the normal or what I would consider to be the normal injector priming noise.

Hence the post, does any else hear the same fizzing noise in addition to the priming, is it just a feature ?

Thanks Folks.
Gazza

Not the exhaust flap servo your hearing is it ?

Hi Gazza

My 3 month old 1250GS does exactly the same. If you twist the throttle engine off, the sound changes tone and goes away for a split second whilst the fly by wire system finds it position at the throttle bodies, then it comes back again. Sounds to me like it is the position sensor and or servo at the throttle bodies setting the position of the intake butterfly flaps. My RnineT and old GS didn't make the sound as it had cables actuating the throttle bodies, new fly by wire system requires electronics to do the job.

Hope this helps ? Nick

Thanks everyone, that#s good to know. Thought something was up. Cheers

You can try this, cost 0 euro

to reset the TPS I turn the key to on, kill switch on, rotate the throttle fully three times and return it to rest. Turn the key off. The TPS is now reset
