Agreed . Looks shite and spoils the whole bike .

The original LC 1200/50 headlight wasn’t the best looking but this is far worse, fortunately you can’t see it when you are riding it, spoils an otherwise great bike, love mine.

The whole headlight and clock assembly just doesn't work. It's like whoever designed that never saw the rest of the bike

I quite like it although the TFT screen looks like a bit of an afterthought.

I suspect there may be a new R1250RS on the way too as it's disappeared off the BMW Motorrad configurator.....or it's being discontinued

Had an R850R Classic and R1200R a few years back could easily be tempted into buying one of these in the grey colour scheme. However the low headlight and oil cooler immediately behind the wheel would be an off putter for me. The other thing that would stop me would be that those that end up on sale in the dealers would probably be pre-loaded with extras that would put it outside my price range. Be nice if they made some R900R's for the UK market.

Highly under rated machine, remember when I had my R1200R constantly being asked what kind of GS is that? AND after riding on tour with me, one or two GS riders asked themselves why they had bought a GS when this did everything they needed.

Currently on my 3rd S1000XR and just started negotiations with my local BMW garage on trading in my 6 mth old XR for one of these. Really am taken by them. Bought a new R1150R many years ago and loved it so thinking this might be an easier way of keeping my license intact ..Liking the grey one now the more I look at it..

They make one for the 1200R, I’m sure BMW will make a little bit taller one to cover the TFT screen costing lots of pennies.
