And others will say they need the 200 ish bhp of the Multi RS 😜

Can’t see these big £20k+ bikes being around in a decade or so once the current batch of 50 somethings with disposable income get too old and croaky.

Never thought I would say it, but I can have much more fun on my 890 than I ever could on that.

Those claiming to use all 170 will be lying, as I bet the dyno's will show under 150.

Mr Starmer is gonna slow a lot of peoples wild spending down!

The PCP bubble is bursting with the resdiuals dropping, meaning many coming to the end of a PCP will have no equity above the GFV (which may well actually be less than bikes value) and dealer asking for large deposit and higher monthly - seeing many walking away, or buying cheaper / used bikes.

And the demise of 50 year olds with disposeable being a huge factor, at 60+ we probably will be happy with a 100BHP in a lighter "middleweight", even now I look at the CF Moto 800 and think that would do me nicely one day - when they make it an 890 / 990 and fix the cams.

I suspect in 5 years the Chinese will have some established brands with a dealer network and proven reliability

Exactly !!

I’m 60 .

Have owned over 30 KTMs. Will never buy another new one .

Last two new bike purchases -Himalayan 450 and Voge 900. Combined cost still much less than one 1390 or similar .

I'd probably be happy with the CF Moto 800 TBH, if it was not for the cam issue on those engines.

The Novelty of having something that can get to 60 in under 4 seconds and top 100 within abother 4 is wearing off after 35+ years, what's funny is when I started out it was a GPZ900R, once the worlds fastest production bike, now a "trail bike" as we called them back then has a higher top speed and 50% more power!

I got rid of my ZZR1400 because it was so hard to use all the power, and found myself always going too fast, or getting very bored.

My 1190 / 1290 KTMs were at the limit of "sensible" neither really wanting to hold top gear much below 70mph, and both made an 80 mph cruising speed feel pretty relaxed, but you could thrash them through 1st - 3rd without topping 100mph (something the ZZR would do in 2nd)

I do wonder how many they would sell if they did a 150BHP "poverty spec" 1290, without the big TFT, gazilion riding modes, keyless, semi active, radar cruise etc etc.

Maybe they will let CF Moto have one of the old generation 1190 / 1290 lumps, that would get my attention!
