2026 Tour de l'Amour with Hatcho and Dub24

Temperature was 37.5 this afternoon on the way to the Gottard pass so we decided to take a cool down break.
Off with the boots and straight into a river in the gear for a hookers bath.
We dressed up again nice and cool only to get to the start of the pass and it started piddling down rain.
Had to set up a temporary washing line for my top and Hatchos pulling socks16676.jpg 16654.jpg

That looks like my gay fantasy ;)

Brilliant catching up and getting it all in one go!

I can't watch any more pass videos though, my feet were sweating watching the first one!

Try keeping up wirh the Bol**x. 😅
So yesterday we stopped at the top of the San Bardino pass for a sambo and a coffee. Fcukin Arkwright without a screed of English was running it and serving.
We ordered from the pictures a Ham sandwich and a coffee. When it was thrown/arrived,on the table what we got was two slices of bread you could have resold your boots with and cheap packet ham which was like a fruit pastile trying to chew it. The fcukin stuff stuck to the roof your mouth.

When it came time to go I called out to him " Excuse me Dick Turpin can we get the bill" 😇 sher he hadn't a clue what i was saying. 🤣
We then went up the Gottard pass on the old road which is mostly cobblestone.

We ended up staying in the Hotel at the top which was grand although we went for the shared Bathroom Toilet with the whole floor because it was 77 swiss franks cheaper for each of us. It worked great because we were sharing it with Germans and Swiss who are terribly polite. No towels place on the jacks by the Krauts first thing in the morning 16719.jpg

After coffee it was time to ride over Spluga Pass. We pulled into Montespluga and I got mass while dub bought more tat in the gift shop. He's some man for the shopping!

Lots and lots of bikes...love it!
Right, getting back on track....

Going over the Splügen pass brought us back into Switzerland from Italy. Cracking scenery and great roads and it only got better.

We continued north on the same route I took last year. Arriving into Splügen we then headed northwest on route 13 towards Sufers. We pulled over to sort out a place to stay and settled on an apartment jobbie in a town called Andeer a little further down the road. The last 15mins of the day were awesome twisties on perfect tarmac. All our tiredness, heat fatigue just faded away as we cruised into Andeer, a very pretty town indeed. Checking in was self service and took only a few minutes. I wanted to register dub as Mr Ball Breaker, a 25 year old Ethiopian, but when it wanted his passport details we had to go back and enter his real name and nationality, Mr. Budgie Smuggler from Uzbekistan. 😅

The very tolerant check in desk...

Well we've arrived at our five-day stay accomodation. I think it's safe to say that we both had one of the best days in our biking careers today. Dub has taken to twisties, hairpins, switchbacks like a pussy to three fingers fresh milk. 😂 This afternoon I followed a chap two up with his ten year old son on the back. To say this guy could ride is like saying Mozart wasn't too bad at the oul' composing. Alu boxes touching the ground on both sides, while being smooth as silk in every corner. We had a quick chat at the traffic lights and the young lad had a big smile when I gave him the thumbs up for being such a good pillion. This place is biking nirvana. And we have over 100 hours to enjoy every moment of it. Champion. 😎

Boxes touching down? No thanks. I like some margin for error built in. I've never even touched my pegs or stand down, never seen the need. Anyway it's against my religion to ride like that.

Well chaps Hatcho popped my off road cherry this morning. He just didn't pop it ,he ran a train through it. 😇

Settle Doc photos going to your old fans sorry only fans page 😅

The name of it is the Galleria dei Saraceni it's 36km we came from the other end and came out in Bardonaccia

(excuse the pun)

Anyway survived and more importantly didn't drop the bike.

I'll now apply to our glorious moderater for my "off road tossers badge" to go with my "coffee tossers badge.

But in all seriousness I never knew how capable my 2010 twin cam is and how good it makes off roading doable
