Just cannot believe that dub went international touring with a defective bleed nipple fitted to his bike. Any bleed nipple in good condition would be well able to cope with a two foot extension bar on a standard ratchet. I keep telling him not to be buying parts from AliExpress, but he just won't listen!

Anyhow, now I've to go on a whistlestop tour of motorrad dealers to find a replacement part for his bike. Wonder should I charge mileage?

BMW are always weird and this is no different. The bleed nipple actually screws into the top of the banjo bolt in contrast to traditional (non bmw) calipers where the bleed nipple is a standalone item with its own port into the caliper body.

The monkey in question spent most of the day fixing a problem of his own making. After four places were either closed or couldn't help I was getting a tad worried. Tomorrow is Sunday and nothing would be open, plus we were due to check out, and we have one immobilised bike. Not good. Not to mention that our return to Memmingen was potentially going to be a one day spin instead of 2.5 days. Again, not good.

But the gods were on our side and Thunderbirds are go once again!

It's a Remotek bluetooth controller - you can zoom in/out of maps, and control media players without touching your phone screen. Had it a while but haven't used it much to be honest.

So, as I type we are getting ready to head to Memmingen Airport for our flight back to Dublin. I'll get stuck into the trip report over the weekend (back in work tomorrow). Every day has been so filled with miles and smiles I've not had a chance to post updates.

Suffice to say we've had some craic with plenty of slagging, giggles and all round fun. I'll fill in the details over the next few days. Watch this space!
