My recommendation on the west side of town would be The Alma at Wandsworth Town.

Couldn't be closer to the station, serves a frankly spectacular pint of Youngs and the menu looks like it's sensibly priced too. British pub food.

The Alma (greatly loved by bods on their way to and from HQ in Twickenham) is a great choice. Very close to Wandsworth Town station or (with a 20 minute walk) from Clapham Junction station itself.
