24 years on ukgser.

Joined in June 2002 after getting my new 1150GS in april 2001. I think I was on ukgsclub for a while and went to Princetown 2001or 2? Sold the GS after 23 years as it was getting heavier every year an now on a X Country:thumb Cheers:beerjug:John B

Dec 2002 for me, so approaching 24 years, I joined a few months after I rode home on my gleaming brand new 1150. The bike is still with me on 72k miles and I'm looking forward to a weekend away on it in Kelso.

Quite a few of the old names and faces are no longer with us (I think especially of Gerry Huxtable and Dennis). Others have just disappeared. I remember the likes of the Prof, TheSanguine etc etc etc.
On we go, long may this continue :beerjug:

June 2002 for me, I’m probably the longest standing member with the lowest post count. I’m on every single day looking though.
Still got my 1150 that I bought brand new from Colwyn Bay Motorcycles in 2000 when they were a BMW dealer.
I did have an 1997 1100 GS before that though. Lots and lots of bikes have come and gone, but I’m not selling my 1150.
I do like this place though.

July 2005 for me. Saw a 1200 in June whilst in Spain on a 600 Fazer and bought my first 1200 in September. Now on my 6th, a 1250

I get my 20 years in on the 14 May.... so 20 years since my first GS (PF06RUY), bought new from Roy at Southport Superbikes, a silver/yellow R1200.... sadly gone to the great breakers yard in the sky following a very low speed coming together with a Transit Van... (he reversed over the front end of the bike...)....
