Wanted 250cc+ 4-stroke supermoto/off-road/enduro (Cheshire)

Posting to find my son a bike to tinker with. He’s starting a mechanics course and wants a light project to learn on, then use for green lanes/off-road once sorted.
Ideally:

• 4-stroke, 250cc+
• Supermoto / off-road / enduro style
• Needs a bit of work (nothing concours!)
• Located in Cheshire or nearby
