Checked out the other end of the cable and no joy! they must cut the wires where they make the join at the unit end.
Cut the audio socket off and the autocom plug and connected the cables up and hey presto works a treat. Time for some Garmin feed back, if they thought about it they could also put a socket at the other that would give you a choice, assuming they could fit a socket that actually works.
