Hi All

I have a Garmin 2610 I want to wire into my 07 GSA, I do not have Autocom or any other comms set up.

What I am thinking of doing is getting a motorcycle power/audio cable from Garmin, or another source, and wiring it into the bike, getting a set of helmet speakers from someone like Autocom and connecting them to the audio output of the motorcycle power/audio cable and away I go.

Does this sound like it will work as I am no auto/audio/mechanical/electrical  etc expert.

Cheers

The amplifier built into the Garmin will happily drive a cheapo earpiece from Maplin or something from an MP3 player.
Autocom or any other "proper" helmet speaker will require a meatier amplifier such as Autocom's own Logic unit.

Hope this helps

Bought a pair of mylar speakers from Maplin, some cable and a male 2.5 mono jack-plug for about £14 plus postage. Not a complicated job with a soldering iron to put these together. Fitted to my Arai behind the lining, works up to silly speeds in conjunction with my 2720 which has speed sensitive volume (not sure if the 2610 has that) but it wouldn't make a huge difference. No other amplifier used, wired direct to the Garmin trailing audio lead built into the cradle power lead.
