2610 startup screen

I am sure I read on here sometime ago about a way to get rid of the annoying start up screen on the 2610 along with some other tips and tricks , but can´t find it can anyone point me in the right direction or let me know if this can be done.

What start up screen? I've got a NavII- it warns about using the unit whilst driving, which can be cleared by acknowledging it, then loads maps, then goes into normal map/looking for satellites mode.

If you hit the screen buttons, it's functioning in, maybe ten seconds total...

Try here - loads of "undocumented" 2610 features. Don't know if the one you're after is there.
Anyone know of an equivalent for the 276c?
