2610 to Autocom

I would give Sam at Chainspeed a ring on 01994 484428 and ask him. My hunch is you'd need one of these and either one of these or one of these depending on the length or cable required.

I'm assuming that you have the Garmin motorcycle power lead (this comes with the cradle) for the SP2610, this is what has the 2.5mm mono jack socket that one of the above leads plug into.

If you bought the unit used with a Garmin bike cradle and lead you might find that the previous owner cut the trailing 2.5mm socket off and soldered a direct connection for audio.

Thanks Bumpkin :thumb2, the intercom unit is powered by the bike, and I had purchased a GPS lead that I thought fitted both ends as both jack plugs click in :nenau. But with both jack plugs in there are no voice commands with the satnav jack plug just pull out half way then there is voice commands. So it looks like they've changed the jack plug size:blast
But I will contact Chain speed or Autocom for the correct lead, and thanks again for the input :thumb2.

If both are powered from the bike, you'll need a loop intereferance thingy, or you just get strange noises...

Hang fire until I check my garage tonight. Used to have a 2610 and think I still have the power/audio leads.

cheers

I always thought using the 2.5mm plug/socket was asking for trouble, my earlier Quest had a 3.5mm mono plug/socket for the audio which I considered more robust. If the leads are going to be permanently on the bike then maybe consider cutting the plug and socket off, soldering and heat shrinking the joins.

Hence why I posted a link to the isolated cable. They don't appear to do the 2.5mm mono version that's a complete cable any more (like I have for my SP2720) but a sort of universal supressor into which you have to plug other cables to make it suit your set-up :nenau

Peanuts

here's what I've got left for the 2xxx series.

The cable on the left is the 2610 connector with power and an audio jack. As you can see it has quite a long cable bundled up, so will fit most bikes cable length wise.

Top right a power connector only. Well that's what I used it for, I "think" there may be an audio jack under the insulating tape, but don't count on it (or it working!!). Short cable.

Bottom right 2610 cradle. The sellotape on it is there to hold the four screws in place so I didn't lose them.

If you are interested in any all e-mail me on markie underscore wales at hotmail dot com.

That goes for anyone else who may want any of this.

cheers
