2610 top speed memory

does anyone know if the top speed memory can be removed, i know it can be reset. I had a streetpilot 111 once that showed a black bar where the top speed indicator was. as i purchased that unit second hand i am not sure if it was a feature or a fault! any help would be usefull ta nick

Hello Nick:

As you pointed out, you can reset it, but you can't remove or disable the feature. Sounds like it might be a good thing to add to future versions of the software, though - I'll pass the suggestion along.
