2610 v9 Unlock Code & Contacting Garmin

Just picked up a 'nearly new' 2610 with v8 and unlock code. All working well. However, loaded up v9 but need an additional unlock code which is not present. As the 2610 unit is not registered to me I can neither re-register the unit nor register v9 (to get the code). Garmin's online support just takes me through the same non specific loops of registrations and failures. Anyone know if:

1/ There is a simple way to get around / reregsiter the 2610 and v9 ( and get the unlock code)?

2/ Is there a more effective route into Garmin UK rather than online?

yes they always been helpful whenever i have rang them.

Assuming you legally have the right to use the software you can find torrent downloads which will generate Garmin codes.

Given that the release of V10 is imminent, you may find that Garmin will not issue unlock codes for V9. This may explain why you are not having any luck updating online.

Garmin Unlock Code for V9

Hi 25GSER Ive recently been through a similar frustrating process in trying to obtain an unlock code for V9 only to be informed by Garmin ( they were very helpful via email ) that they would not issue an unlock code as a new version is imminent ? Hope that helps. Regards Mickyfin
