unlock code for mape source V9

Hi every one

I have got a garmin 2610 with v8 loaded and also have v9 that garmin sent me some time ago .But never got round to loading it till now and it keeps asking for an unlock code so rang garmins help line and they told me that the unlock codes are discontinued . They can send me a new disk for free but them i have to ring them and pay for the unlock code about £40 . As any body got a way round this so i can use my old v9 ? and it will take 4 to 6 weeks for the disc to come they are on back order

Unfortunatly mate in my 7 year experiance with Garmin the only one transferable or re-usable code that works is the 16 Digit one on your Visa

Don't know any way round other than pay

But i'm sure someone else on here may know different

If you don't want to wait 4-6 weeks, you can down;oad the map updates from the Garmin website, but not free of course!

It sounds to me that if Garmin are only issuing codes over the phone (which seems odd), that is because someone has sussed out how to crack the algorithm that will produce an unlock code.

I havn't updated for a while so I couldn't give you any other solution. Surely CN8 is fairly up top date and will get you nearly anywhere in fact we never had these things until a few years ago and I always made it home even after well to many

Unfortunately the file descriptions of the torrents aren't quite as reliable.
