Quote from the Touratech support forum (translated):

"We are working on the development of a handlebar mounted remote control. Herbert Schwartz."

Now that is what we need!
Sounds a lot better to me than extra buttons to the left, right, top or bottom of the 2610. Those are not so easy to reach if you mount the unit nice and high behind the windscreen.

Now when will it be ready and what's it gonna look like...?

The forum thread is here but there is no more info than the above quote.

No pics, no eta, no details...

But knowing Touratech I'm quite sure they'll come up with a good solution.

Cheers,
Michel

Price

And having just got the latest Touratech catalogue and looked at the prices the combined price will come at around 1899 Euros for the 2610 plus remote.

BTW has anyone else noted that the Touratech catalogue in English is different to the on-line UK one. I was looking for a battery chargern that was in the English one but is only available in the German site.

Hi Michel:

Thanks for the link. Looks interesting.

Please let the folks at that forum know that they are welcome to reproduce any of the photos I posted at www.my-mc.com of the SP 26xx mounts. The only restriction I put on the photos was that I didn't want various dealers using them, but for a non-profit BB, anyone can use them.

Viele Grüße

Michael

You could make/mount your own Infrared Remote Eye Repeater. I have this one in my car for my sound system and it works great.
The Peripheral Electronics PVIRT Infrared Remote Eye Repeater
http://peripheralelectronics.com/2002/specialty.asp
and added two emitters that could be duplicated (with a Radio Shack IR emitters) so I don't have any problems with my remote not getting info to my high powered sound system. You could even get a smaller remote. I have seem some this size of a credit card that you can teach it any remote code.

LOL! I'm not convinced on getting a 2610/50. I'm waiting to see the 276C first. I need some thing better then my III+ and V this year though.
