2650 touch screen fault

The old girl is dying,the touch screen wont work so i not input anything.
the strange thing is i can move the map about.Had it apart even tried to recalibrate the screen but says fail
As garmin no longer do the bit's i think it's the end,shame she's been a tough old girl and we have deen some fun places
Bet the 660 wont take as much stick

Been offered a 2620 (the one with the hard drive) for £40 may be worth it for the screen

I dismantled a 2610 with a view to replacing the screen unit........................ and thought the better of it. It doesn't appear to be as simple as you would expect.

Not sure if I will have a chance to photograph the insides, but unless someone else can tell you different - you could be taking a chance, spending another £40.

tried the remote???
if that works then all inputting needed can be done...altho not on the move!!
some functions are easier with the remote than direct!
