Hi,
Trying to send a route from Autoroute 2003 into GPS 276C.
Error message - Autoroute can't find GPS - it is looking at com ports and the thing is on USB port.
Any ideas, please?
Ta,
Bins

The GPSmap 276C only talks Garmin protocol on the USB port.
Many mapping products will only talk NMEA.

The 276C will talk either Garmin or NMEA on the serial port so you may have to get a serial data cable.

No serial port on pc....
Got a serial to usb adaptor to connect 3+ to this pc.
Bit surprised, I can transfer from Mapsource to 276c on USB, but nit from MS Autoroute.
Are there any online sites for making a route and then downloading it to 276c as .gdb file?

To get NMEA out of the 276C you need to use a serial cable out of the 276C and then a serial to USB adapter on the laptop. The driver for the adapter will create puesdo comm ports.

MapSource talks Garmin protocol
Sounds like Autoroute does not.
