2nd copy of v8

Hi
Got two copies of v8 delivered - gave one to my mate who also has a quest. How do I get the second copy unlocked?
My mate's quest has already been updated FOC from v6 to v7.
Ideas?

phone garmin pay the fee to get it unlocked and they give you a code - enter that code and job done.

It will be free if you bought the quest after 1st jan 2006
