For sale, a pair of 'His and Hers' gloss black electric C line Explore 6 speed Brompton E bikes.
First registered on 22 April 2022 so just under 3 years old and in Warranty (just!) Though the frame has a 7 year warranty
The explore range has full mudguards, lights and racks and I have a range of locks, helmets and Brompton bags etc that might be in a deal so the new owner would be ready to go.
These bikes were bought to use on a wide beam barge as transport to get to and from the shops, restaurants and the car and were stored in the engine bay with the battery packs kept inside the barge itself.
I'd say they were in good, serviceable condition with the inevitable marks and scratches you'd expect from use, they are certainly not garage queens but have years of life left in them and have not had a hard life like some commuters.
I took both bikes to Brompton Junction in Covent Garden today to have firmware updates and battery health check. There were no error codes for the controllers or motors and battery health was high 90's so the Electric side is good and as the mileage on them isn't high the components are all in good shape, gears and brakes work etc.
They are registered on the Brompton website and ownership will be transferred to the buyer(s)
The 'His' bike has seen a little more use and it's condition reflects that so is priced slightly lower.
I've seen these advertised at prices ranging from just over a grand to well over £2k so I think the following prices are fair
'His'. £1400
'Hers' £1500
Both £2800 and I'll throw in all the bags, locks, tools etc (probably 500 quids worth!)
Pictures show 'Hers" but they are identical
