Hello

3 questions:

Where is the idle adjusting bolt? (any photo)

Where is the mixture adjusting bolt? (any photo)

Were do I connect the carb balancer. (all the carbs have the connection?)

Looking in the manuals and in some web pages I still didn’t found out the answers to my questions. I still didn’t disassemble the carbs way but I’m preparing the work

Thanks to all

:)

Oh dear - Do not touch the carbs, put the tools down nice and gently, and then walk away from the bike :D

If you find a mechanic with experience, and I am sure that there are many in Portugal, he will balance, (adjust and set up), your carbs in 10 to 15 mins or maybe 30 minutes

The price, (cost), will only be a few Euros and you can ask to see him working - you can look at what he is doing and ask him questions.

That will be a lot easier for you than trying to do it from a book - especially when trying to do this for the first time

If you do it this way it will be cheaper for you in the long term

Good luck

Hello

I’m planning to disassemble, clean and adjust the carbs. Already bought the all (?) the parts that I need. I have some mechanic experience but I’m not used to petrol engines and carbs.

“To the left of the idle mixture screw is the 'take off' for the carb balancer.”

I think that in the Waynes manual in that place should be the “Butterfly stop screw?

Or am I seeing it the wrong way?

Bernardo put the "waynes" manual down and go read some more. Lot's of info on the Airheads Site to help you out as well.

The manual is wrong most of the time and better off doing some research on Airheads and ADVrider.com :thumb2

Good luck :D
