Hi all.... arggghhhhh how can time go so s-l-o-w.... 3 days and counting until I pick up the new GS1200 GSA :clap there's even a thing on the telly for big brother which keeps showing an ad with how many days to go until it's on :o which also happens to be the day when I get my bike!!

Here's hoping:
1. The crash bars aren't rusted through :eek
2. The ABS works (for now!) :eek
3. There isnt a major oil leak :eek
4. The indicator switches work :eek
5. BMW actually manage to get the panniers delivered on-time :eek
6. It doesn't need a major software upgrade :eek
7. The front yolk bolts arent loose :eek

Then I'm off down to Devon and Cornwall :clap for the week to test it all out, so just going to browse through the recommended accomodation lists now to see whats best.

And of course I'll see a load of you at the Weekend Wobble-a-fest!

PMA

Positive mental attitude my friend

Now go and loose yourself in an orgy of drink and drugs until the bike arrives :D Lord knows you won't have the time to do it after the bike arrives due to all the riding you'll be doing :moped: and you won't have any money to do it because you'll be having your wages paid directly to Touratech

Beep, beep, beep .............. :dabone

wages to touratech tooo right! think they own my house now too!!! yep keepin positive!

any one up for a ride out this weekend in the mids/ east mids area let me know

Do what I did, to avoid that longest of 3 days feelings...I occupied my mind with other hobbies, and the phone call that said, 'It's ready', was a surprise.... But for goodness sake, keep a lid on the excitement, when you get it, for it is a wonderful machine. Good luck, and enjoy :thumb

As Schwarz Baron says, keep yourself busy and the time will fly. It will all be worth it when you get it. I`ve had mine 2 and a half weeks and have done 2600 miles to date. :thumb

The only problem is its emtying my pockets very fast, as I am wanting to go out on it all the time exploring. :thumb Just got back from the Scottish Highland trip and can`t wait till July for the European tour. :bounce1

The one thing I would realy like though is a hugger. I have looked at various types, but waiting to see Motorrad Concepts new hugger when it comes out (very soon I hope Chris). ;)

you know when you go out with friends having a cracking time somone asks what time it is ten minuets after you got there you look at your watch and two hours have gone by

jayceer, we are going to the BMW bike meet at Garmish, then after thats finished on the Sunday, we will continue touring Switzerland, Italy, Austria and germany. :bounce1 :bounce1

Not long now for you to wait, hope your keeping busy. Have you booked the first service yet? I under estimated how quickly I would run mine in. My dealer couldn`t fit me in earlier than I had already previously booked, so I had to hold back on the miles.

All the best for your delivery day, your gona have a huge smile on your face. :D :thumb

haha hit the nail on the head there shedracer! just this minute got back from 3 days down in Somerset on said new steed!! :thumb brilliant on the a/b roads and top on the motorwat bits - its sat back in my garage now! in a word SUPERB!

Nice to hear your enjoying your GSA12. :thumb

I haven't been able to ride mine for just over a week, but come the weekend, after I have fitted a few new goodies, there`ll be no stopping me. :D Roll on the weekend. :bounce1 :bounce1 :bounce1

certainly am enjoying it mate, makes me smile everytime I start it up and that engine rumbles into life!!

What extra goodies have you fitted ready for this weekend then?

I got the dealer to fit me an autocom, it fits just nicely at the bottom of the fuel tank where the service manual mormally goes. All I've got to do now is figure it out and sort where the leads are best positioned! As current set up of "in the tank bank" nisnt really working everytime I fuel up...
