I'm in the process of doing a quick cost/benefit analysis for my main bike (a 2014 GSA), do I get it serviced/rebooted/re-warranty'd or do I take the plunge and go for a new (or recent 'previously owned/loved...)?

A bit part of this sum will be the cost of the service I'll be due in about a couple of months - the 3 year service...

Can anyone tell me roughly what is involved and how much I can expect to pay for this from a dealer please?

Looking through the forum there are many hits on 6 and 12K queries but not the 17 (18)K jobbie.

Any advice will be graciously appreciated :-)

I've got it just how I want it, but most of the TT/Kriega/Wunderlich/Cymarc gear will be transferred if I do go for option 2.

Provided the brake pads/discs are OK, it will be a basic service because the valve clearances are not due to be checked until 24k

3 years also means brake fluid, I think. That's scheduled at 1 year initially, then every 2nd. Otherwise, as per 6K miles.

In General an 18k at 3 years old should be the same as the 6k at 1 year old. Around £220
