I heard that after the rugby result yesterday that there was a good atmosphere in englandshire ... so I meandered down to the edges to get a whiff.
Couldnt find any so I spun round and reached the border before suffocating.

Found some GSCLUBBERS out for a spin at St Marys Loch.

Came back past Megget and Talla reservoirs. what a road !! If ever there was a road that could be described as a tarmac ribbon, casually strewn on a hillside ... this is it.
This leads onto the equally good A701 ending at Penicuik. Lovely road.

Gorgeous weather. Good company at the cafe and beautiful scenery and roads.

I wouldnt swap all the sporting victories in the world for what we have here.

I prefer to have the choice Den :D

A701 to penicuik..............mmmmm I think I've mentioned that one before too, great piece of tarmac :thumb

You do have some great roads.

Mind you, look up the Lr-113 in Spain (near Logrono). That's a serious bit of tarmac:eek:

Or the Co-421 near cordoba. If you have mapsource, look it up

N 38 16.350
W 4 52.706

Think this is right. A must do part of the world if you like chamfering your tyres on the sides :D:D:D

Weathers usually better too.

Looks like you had fun though:thumb2:thumb2:thumb2

Nice to see you Den :thumb2

Almost didn't recognise you with your clothes on...:P

That's the back o'me on my bike in the last shot - I think you got my best side...

Fabulous day!

:D

I noticed you at the Glen Cafe Den (I was on the red 1100R, and behind you in the queue at the cafe). Your presence on here made you instantly recognisable, although mercifully you had your bike gear on. On a day like we had on Sunday the roads you describe are wonderful. Its a regular little circuit for me as I live in Penicuik. The autumn colours in the Tweed valley are just beginning to get good so shhh... keep it quiet! :thumb
