This is the email I received this morning from Ibrahima Bane
National Director SOS Village, Mali

Bonjour Bertrand,
A bientôt donc cher Bertrand.

Ibrahima Bane

Hello Bertrand
I have been away since 23rd October. I have just returned.
I am very honoured and take great pleasure in inviting you back to Mali to bring the aid you have already done for the children of our villages in Mali.
Look forward to seeing you again towards the end of the year, it would be marvellous.
Until then dear Bertrand
I.B
Directeur National des Villages d’enfants SOS du Mali

Thank you Football Crazy :0)

and shameless plug for some wonderful people.
As you know, most children don't really understand medicines but the sight of a football......drives them wild!! Last time, Football Crazy donated some footballs you can see in picture below.

This time they have pushed the boat out with:
1 corporate T shirt, 16 pairs of football boots, 1 pair of gym shoes, one whistle, one pair of referee gloves-
 I bet I am going to get run ragged again around the field like last time :D & falling over rather often - !! :blast !! hey ho but well worth it :thumb it's such fun to see them having a great time :)

My heartfelt thanks to Bob, Dawn and June :thumb

Cleared funds total update as at 3rd Nov £2205 Yai!! roughly half Way!! and only some 2 weeks to go
Thanks everyone - please keep it coming - Malarone is what is mostly needed and there are no generics so that malaria cure is expensive. This is what I have been asked to mainly focus on.
All help welcomed and thank you :bow to all you UKGS'ers who have contributed so far.

Keep lifting the sofa cushions- gotta be some in there!!:D

Notebook needed

I have received a request for a notebook for the director of the village.
Does anyone have one?:nenau they would be willing to donate?

Cher Ami BERTRAND
Pour ma part je réitère ma demande d'ordinateur portable de seconde main. Bref!
Je compte énormément sur vous.
MERCI!

Dear Bertrand
I would ask you again (*) my request for a portable second hand computer- I am hopeful and counting on you.
Thank you

(Moussa did ask me last time but I was unable to carry my tower PC which I have since donated to a local charity)- not exaclty portable either:blast

Hi Bert
Best of luck on the trip mate.
I've dropped a coupla quid in, but when I tried to e-mail you my message got bounced.

Good on ya:thumb2

Russ

Bril Septi- :clap thank you

This thread has gone a bit quiet, time for another bump.

Good news Bert, my Dad has just agreed to open his wallet and has put a cheque in post. Don't know how much yet but I hope he at least matches my donation. :)

Cheers

Sid

PS after reading other post about Riders for Health it makes it all the more valid to support your mission as we know every single penny gets direct to the needy without anyone taking a salary of £55k!

My thanks again

:bowTo Mr Norman M. from Carrickfergus for his generosity :clap
:bow To Sid H. and his dad, Mr H. Senior :clap
:bow to David Hale for sponsoring the stickers and sorting out all the admin to make sure they get to you and his designer extraordinaire Filippo S. :clap

and to anyone else who is helping and I may have missed.:clap (APOLOGIES if I have overlooked anyone accidentally)
It is encouraging to have your support, all of which will go to helping the children in the two SOS Villages in Mali.
Thank you GS'ers and non-GS'ers alike for your continued support.
Closing date for the account is approaching fast- It is November 20th, just 10 days from now.
If you haven't donated and would like to do so, please may I ask that you do it now so that I can have as much money as possible to buy the meds and some schools supplies. :thumb
Thank you

P.S every single penny of what you give goes to this mission- The only personal help I have received and have accepted is a donation from JEMCA TOYOTA in the shape of fuel, oil, air filters, a polybelt and some engine oil.
