This post is to ask you if you would be willing to help me (some of you again) by donating just a few pounds so that I can buy the medicines as I did last year.
The time window is very narrow- I have just until 14th November 2007 to receive those pledges, to enable me to evaluate how much I need to put from my own pocket and work out if I can do this again. Those of you who are involved in running such missions know of the high costs involved.

So there it is:
• Cash for medicines please - Malarone, antibiotics, pain killers and laods more

Are you willing to pledge to help get this on the road one more time?

I am appealing to the community spirit of the UKGSers. I realise this orphanage is far afield but these children need you big time.
-Thank you for listening – over to you.

I suspect I could find £10 in the parking tray of me van. Will also send you a Company T-shirt and another £10 if you get a nice picture of you in it at various border crossings etc. So I can make a write up about for our website.

PM me with details

I know how much time and effort you put into the last two trips Bert so put me down for £30, let me know where/who/when to send it :thumb2

INFO PLEDGES

Wonderful of you to respond all-
I have cartilage problems in my ankle and this may well be the last time I can do this-
Please support
I still have the 'pipeline ' with the medical wholesaler so can buy meds in bulk at cost and less.:thumb

I like giving to people like Bert; you know the money - and ALL of the money - is going to go exactly where it is needed with no take offs for admin/advertising/staff/bribes/offices or any of the other chuff that comes with 'normal' charities.

People like Bert (no really, they do) make a difference.

You guys know I'm selling my GS1200

My bike is in MCN (web and print)
but I'll put it for sale with all knick knaks on board here for £6500 to a UKGSer

Out of this I pledge I will use £2000 of the proceeds of the sale to the mission

I'll keep my 2001 F650 so I am still by definition 'a Tosser' :D (even if a short-arsed one!!)

As you know Bert I'm sadly not in a position to do the poster thing again this year.

£50 pledged because there was nothing higher on the list - don't think I can vote twice :nenau but if the trip goes ahead you can count that double. £100 from me :thumb

Where's the pic of the smiling child? tried to find the old thread and couldn't. It choked me up last time. If there's anything that sums up what this trip means it's that pic. (actually the last pic above also set me off...)

I really hope this comes off Bert :bow for even considering it a third time - especially given the state of your own health :bow :bow

:rob tosser says : many thanks- :clap still life in this old dog yet!

Fil= no worries - will not be doing posters this yearbut will take lots of pics which I will put up here.

Thank you so much - you guys are brilliant.
first pis is Tyson - a real dynamo on the football field- ran me ragged!
the second is entitled 'delivering hope'.
This was what the Village director, Moussa told me-
"You are not just delivering life saving medicines and school supplies - you are delivering a precious cargo- that called 'HOPE'-
The fact that we know that so far away, in very different lands and customs there are many who make sacrifices to help us and give us a better fighting chance at life- For that Hope and what you bring- Blessing be upon you all- "
