Hi, Want to change to 4 pot calipers on my R100rs 1982. I have snowflake wheels with Brembo calipers mounted behind the fork legs (not the ATE ones).

I searched and read the web, even bought some late BMW 4 pot calipers but they have 108mm mounting bolt spacings, it seems mine have approx 116mm spacing, anyone know what bike has the 4 pot calipers with this spacing? I thought I saw a picture of two bikes with what looked like BMW/Brembo four pots calipers fitted, but can't seem to find it now.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The R1200GS are 65mm x M8
Has anyone done them with adaptor plates?
I have a set of Calipers.

This was the set up on a previous R80g/s of mine........may be of some use. Not done by me but made with 8mm alloy
Of course I had to fit a siebenrock 1000cc kit to make full use of the brake :bounce1

I'll be speaking to pretech for my 81 project http://www.pretech.co.uk

England Kev had a caliper made by them and was very pleased with it.

I'm another happy bunny with pretech on my ST (after EnglandKev's recommendation)... not cheap, but worth it IMHO.

Not done it, but I plan on having a go, fitting it to my R80G/s

Cant see why the need on a Rs though, I thought they worked pretty well,

though they are even better on my twin converted 80 RT using the single disc master cylinder, than the 100 RT with the original stuff

I have a pair of 4 pots on my r100 standard master cylinder and stainless lines, you would not need more brakes!
