Although it's been a bimbling around day, having done 69 miles since filling up this morning popping here and there the range gauge is saying I've still got 375 miles left in the tank - that's a 444 range on the ADV

....in fact it went up 378 at 70 miles on the trip (it was down hill) so 448 was my theoretical range.

What the best you've seen?

It's all bollox of course as tomorrow I'll be ragging it on my way down to the Alps but today it has amused me

i have seen the computer display a theoretical range of 410 but of course that soon went down !
Actually it might have been the fill up before Dent so I blame you

I had a range of 505 come up on a refill on one alps trip, I'd done 320 miles on a tankfull and thought the range was playing around as it still said I had 150 miles to go so filled it up anyway, I could only get 23 litres in so it may have been right,
Fuel strip is facked again at the moment and being fixed on 13th July, I usually only get about 300 miles to a tank. It will be interesting to see what the new one says this time.
Btw even after my recent hilltop remap my average MPG is 44.1, how the fack do some of you get up 60 MPG?

Ive put in 34.5 litres when the gauge was yelling for me to get it filled. The bike had done about 350 miles. I was so bothered about running out I never recorded the final mileage. Since then the fuel strip did its thing so I manage with the trip.

Filler neck like a pepper-pot and absolutely brimmed. But you need to ride away immediately or it all starts oozing out!
This figure was fully loaded two up but riding at not much more than moped speeds in France.

So on the one tank you'd already done 250 miles and you still had a 293 range left in the tank - giving you a theoretical 543 mile from one tank?

Actually did 299.9 miles in Spain on a GS without the A, whilst taking it easy, jacket open, total bimble in Spain - The Maestrazgo region I think.
When we stopped to fill up at a Repsol station 2 different attendants filled me and me mates bikes up and when we got to the till to pay there was confusion because they'd put the same in each bike... to the hundredth.
