Afternoon folks, I had a loan of a friends 450 Himalayan last week for a trip to Brittany and did about 900 miles on it.

What a great bike but for me marred by really bad vibration through the right handlebar grip. It only did this at 70 or 70 plus speeds but I could barely feel my right hand after a couple of hours of motorway travel. Is this normal for these bikes.

The bike I was using had 9k miles on it and was well looked after.

If the bike had handguards then it could be that it had non-standard bar-end weights. When I fitted Barkbusters to mine I got extra vibes through the bars. I made new, heavier ones and the vibes went away.

Bar end weights can make a big difference, as can a handle bar brace.
Unfortunately, a lot of “singles” and some twins often have a rev frequency that can cause some vibration.

Thanks, I was really hoping to hear from owners who had used them a bit to see if this was normal for theese bikes.

The Himmy 450 I rode in India didn't have this problem at all.

Fantastic bike
