4th Gear Power Loss

I have a 2001 1150 in standard trim. I have recently started getting a power loss that lasts for about 2 seconds , it only happens in 4th gear and it is intermittant ( happened twice in 2.5 hours riding the last time out). The last few times it has happened I was just starting to accelerate to overtake cars so I would guess at about 4000 ish rpm. The power just dies and then comes back and carries on accelerating. Apart from that it runs sweet at a nut.

I had something similar except it was in 6th gear, ususally when I opened up the throttle. I mentioned it at the 12k service and it went away.

However shortly after it was replaced by surging in the lower gears that got progressively worse. The solution was to replace an HT lead going to the coil at the next service. At least that's what I think they said.

That fixed the problem, although I've only had the bike back a day.
