Another Military Memorial...
Cabanatuan philippines
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raid_at_Cabanatuan
Cabanatuan is in Central Luzon. It is on the eastern fringe of the plain, at the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountains.
The site of the prison camp is now a memorial. You can still see the vague outlines of the camp, from the air.
We met Angelese City, another glourious sunny day!
Then off to Cabanatuan,
On arrival we were met by an American Embassy official from Manila (Bert) who gave us the history of the Prison Camp, and the treatment by Japanese.
Ariel shot, the outline of the huts can be seen,
We said our prayers and signed the Condolence Book.
We then returned home the scenic route!
and to chill in the pool...!
